MAYFAIR Planning underway and WE NEED YOU!!
The largest PTO FUNdraiser of the year, Mayfair, will be taking place on Friday, May 11th from 4:30 7:00. Most Committee Chairs are in place and we are now looking for LOTS of volunteers to help out. Listed below are some of the areas we need help there are ways to volunteer your time BOTH at the event or ahead of time! Please look over the list and consider contacting a chair PRIOR to vacation to let them know what you can do!! This will help them immensely with planning! CONSIDER ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
PLANNING / PRE-EVENT VOLUNTEERS:
Join one of the committees listed below and help with prep and advanced planning! Please look over each committee and contact the Chairs directly.
- Silent Auction Donations We need your help with the Mayfair Silent Auction! In past years, donations from Edmunds families have included art, handmade jewelry and clothing, pet-sitting, baking, yard work and gift baskets. Do you have something that you can contribute an item, service, time-share that you’re not using? please contact Kristen Shamis at 864-7884 or Nancy Kaplan at 238-0227
- Donate a flat of annuals for the Plant Sale pick up a flat of pansies, petunia’s, geraniums or some other plant to be donated to the plant sale. Plants may be delivered to Amy Feeney at 49 Robinson Parkway anytime the week before or simply brought to Mayfair.
- Bake A Cake One of our most popular games is Musical Cakes! We need LOTS of volunteers to bake cakes which will be given away as prizes! You will be given a cake box for your finished product! Please contact Emily Ankerson if you are willing to help out!
- Fill a Basket Another popular item in our raffle. Each class is assigned a theme and parents and kids are asked to contribute “theme related items” to each basket either new, or gently used!
- Food Prep We are looking for many helpful hands to help prep and make baked goods and healthy food for our food concession the week prior to Mayfair. Contact Brooks Boardman or Jessica Ackerman if you are available to help out.
AT THE EVENT:
Many Volunteers are needed to “man” the following areas, please consider signing up for a one hour shift in one of the areas:
TICKETS & PRIZES 5-8 People needed. Open chair
GAMES 20 or more people needed to run several games up on the field. Please Contact Denise Viscomi or Locky MacDonald
FOOD CONCESSION 10 or more people needed to hand out food and drinks in the cafeteria. Please Contact Brooks Boardman or Holly Zanes.
CRAFTS 5-10 people are needed to help paint faces and run a few craft booths. Open chair
SILENT AUCTION 5-8 people are needed to help oversee the auction areas. Please contact Kristen Shamis, Nancy Kaplan, Patricia Berry .
